Interview With A Cutie

Shana Marie
Age: 25
5'3 Model from New York
Website: www.myspace.com/babygirlshana

Shana: Modeling with revenge :)

CosmicTribune: How are you doing Shana? Up early or haven't gone to bed yet?

Shana: I haven't gone to bed yet. I try not to sleep too much. I don't want to miss anything. haha

CosmicTribune: LoL. How long have you been modeling?

Shana: A little over a year. I started last January (2006) and it has been a whirwind since then

CosmicTribune: What have been the highlights so far?

Shana: I made top 5 in the Stuff Magazine lingerie contest that was held at a nightclub in NYC. I beat out about 50 girls. I also won a contest to be the Miss MMA spokesmodel. I appeared in MMA sports magazine and have been a guest on Maxim Sirius radio 3 times. I also just recently won a competition on savvy.com for the "is she hot" contest.

CosmicTribune: WoW, so there have been several big accomplishments. What part of you gets the most compliments? and what part of you never looks as good as you might wish?

Shana: I get a lot of compliments for my eyes and butt! I work out a lot so I have an athletic body. I feel like my boobs never look as good as I wish. They are natural so don't stand as firm as augmented breasts

CosmicTribune: What's a typical workout for you to stay in modeling shape?

Shana: I do cardio exercise about 2 times a week and I also take a strip aerobics class once a week. In that class there is an hour of exercise, then strip dancing and pole dancing. So I get a lot of my upper body strength from working the pole.

CosmicTribune: Strip aerobics? lol....do you work as a stripper?

Shana: Noooo!!!! I just take the class for fun. I am actually a computer consultant. That is my career and I model as well.

CosmicTribune: Wouldn't even do it on a dare on an amateur night? ...lol....if it was out of town and no one would find out?

Shana: Definitely not! I love going to strip clubs with my boyfriend but I would never want to be a stripper. I don't think it would be good if one of my clients walked in and saw me on the pole. LOL

CosmicTribune: The clients probably wouldn't mind. lol

Shana: hmmm...maybe not

CosmicTribune: Most embarrassing moment on a model shoot?

Shana: I was doing a rooftop shoot in NYC and I was on this platform. I was trying to model all sexy and was really getting into it...next thing you know the platform cracked and I fell into this little hole. Haha I had scratches all over my butt and thighs. So much for trying to look sexy. I am such a clutz and dork

CosmicTribune: Did the photographer start laughing?

Shana: Yeah he was dying laughing. I fall all the time. I trip over imaginary cracks on the floor

CosmicTribune: Where would you like modeling to lead to? what would be the ultimate accomplishment?

Shana: I would love to be a TV host for a celebrity gossip show. Maybe have a role in a film; I always wanted to play the popular girl in school for a movie because i wasn't very popular in high school

CosmicTribune: Love the celebrity gossip huh? ...then you must be loving the Britney/Paris/Nicole/Lohan hijinks

Shana: Oh man you know it. My guilty pleasure is reading gossip magazines and watching VH1 and E!

CosmicTribune: Is modeling sort of a way to make up for High School?

Shana: In a way yes. I was never the hot girl and got made fun of a lot in school. So I guess this is my way of making up for it. But I really do enjoy being in front of the camera and showing off different sides of my personality. Plus there are a lot of perks to modeling. I get paid to host parties and nightclubs, and travel to different places and get free clothing.

CosmicTribune: Travelled to many other states?

Shana: Yes. I've been to Miami, LA and Toronto for modeling.

CosmicTribune: I used to live in Toronto....hate that city...lol

Shana: Nooo really? I love Toronto. It is just like NY only colder. I went to the nude beach when I was there and there were all these 60 something year old men. Eww.

CosmicTribune: Did you strip off?

Shana: Just my top. I wouldn't expose my bottom.

CosmicTribune: Oh you'll go topless on the beach but I can't get you out to amateur hour at a strip club...lol

Shana: LMAO. I was with my boyfriend at the beach so it was OK

CosmicTribune: Is the boyfriend supportive of your modeling? Some guys don't like the idea of their gf prancing around in bikinis. lol

Shana: Yes he is very supportive. He doesn't agree 100% with everything I do but he stands by me. It is really hard for him at times. Especially with all the attention I recieve from various men. Relationships are hard enough. Having all of the obstacles thrown at us is tough. I wasn't into modeling when we first started dating so there is a bit of an adjustment that had to be made once I started.

CosmicTribune: Ever been propositioned by one of your photographers?

Shana: Yes unfortunately. But I am in a committed relationship so I let them know I am not interested one bit

CosmicTribune: What’s your favorite alcoholic beverage?

Shana: Biacardi Coconut. YUM! I bought a bottle of it when I went to Puerto Rico a few months ago and now I am hooked. I drink it straight with no ice or soda

CosmicTribune: Was Puerto Rico for a photo shoot?

Shana: No. I took my boyfriend for his birthday

CosmicTribune: How are the topless beaches there?

Shana: Couldn't tell ya. I didn't venture off too far from our hotel. lol

CosmicTribune: Biggest misconception people have about you?

Shana: That I am stuck up or that I want to step on people to get to the top. I am so nice to people until they hurt me. Then I have no use for them. But I am always willing to lend a hand or give advice to help someone succeed.

CosmicTribune: Modeling can be a rough business sometimes eh? - The competitiveness

Shana: You have no idea! Girls will just beat you down until you are dead on the floor. LOL

CosmicTribune: What's the worst thing another model has done to you, or said?

Shana: A girl went psycho on me because I won a competition that she didn't win. She thought I went behind her back to get ahead. She started sending me hate emails and writing the most ridiculous stuff. We were very close but now we don't even speak.

CosmicTribune: What curse word do you use the most?

Shana: Mother Fucker. haha. There is always some sort of curse word flying out of my mouth. I was born and raised in NYC. What do you expect. Mother fucker.

CosmicTribune: What did you just call me?? lol

Shana: HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA

CosmicTribune: Worst job you ever had?

Shana: I was a telemarketer for a few months. It was horrible. People were so rude to me on the phone and hung up in my face constantly.

CosmicTribune: Complete the following - "I wish I had" and also "If I could change anything"

Shana: I wish I had more money so I could model full time and persue acting. If I could change anything it would be my height. I would like to be a little taller

CosmicTribune: Do you have any secret talents we don't know about?

Shana: I can blow bubbles with my tongue. And I am very flexible

CosmicTribune: Any big projects coming up in the near future?

Shana: I am going to LA this week to do a photoshoot for various magazines, and I will be competiting in the Hawaaiian tropic competition in Atlantic City September 8th

CosmicTribune: Last question - tell me something I don't know

Shana: I am a very passionate and loyal person. I am a deep thinker and write poety when I am at my lowest points in life. I don't like to sleep because I try and take every second of the day and make it count

CosmicTribune: Thank you Shana!
