Lauren - WWE Diva

CosmicTribune: What are you wearing Lauren?

Lauren: Navy blue t-shirt that says "Hawaii" and sweats. No make-up and messy hair.

CosmicTribune: What does the term Diva mean in the world of wrestling?

Lauren: A WWE Diva is a strong, sexy, athletic woman who must always be on her toes and ready for anything! A Diva is one of agility and extreme personality who is ready to climb into the ring and protect her dignity as a woman and as a pro wrestler.

CosmicTribune: WWE Divas get in the ring and wrestle?

Lauren: Yes Divas definitely do a lot of wrestling. We are trained weekly and get into the ring for practice before every match; we even get into the ring when not having a match because like any sport, you have to keep training to be good at it. I always tried to get there early to so that I was never in the way of the guys. I was trained by not only the WWE trainers, but also by working with Hiroko, a female wrestler from Japan, as well as Renee Dupree when the two were around. Undertaker would often be in the corner observing quietly and I would always double check that what I was doing was correct. He would give me a nod yes or no to certain moves and give his honest opinion when I was in doubt about something. Some days, due to the abundance of talented people at WWE, you may not see all of the Divas, or even well-known wrestlers, in the ring. We rotate so that everyone is in the ring at some point, giving them a chance at the championship title and belt. I pulled my groin in the ring and it is still healing to this day, not an easy injury to get over quickly. I have learned that strength training my hamstrings helps a lot.

CosmicTribune: It was reported that you left WWE for personal reasons. Care to mention why you left?

Lauren: I took a few months to film another TV show that will be coming out on FOX pretty soon. I just had a meeting with the head of talent at WWE headquarters this past Friday to decide how we will progress forward at this point. I love WWE, they are a great brand, company and family. I could never leave that behind.

CosmicTribune: You're a former Miss New York USA semi-finalist. Pageant contestants are often asked a question such as "Where do you see yourself in five years?" Were you asked that question then? How has your career unfolded, compared to how you may have answered that question 5 years ago?

Lauren: Five years ago I would have never guessed I would be working for WWE in the world of wrestling. However I'm glad that I've been given the opportunity; it's been a roller coaster ride and I have so much respect and appreciation for the enormous amount of talent involved. I thought I would have been more focused on film. Now I hope to do both. I like being able to segue from light character portrayals to meaty and diverse roles for both film and TV.

CosmicTribune: A Miss New York contestant, an NCAA cheerleader, and a Homecoming Queen. It reads like the dreams of many young girls. What was your life like growing up?

Lauren: It sounds good when you put it that way! I just like being around people and need to be active and involved. I guess those traits plus being a motivated person and wanting a lot out of life led to those types of accomplishments. I'm also never satisfied so I'm always pushing to break though another challenge.

CosmicTribune: I'm always curious, when I see a gorgeous model or actress, how much their good looks are due to genes, and how much to hard work and healthy lifestyle?

Lauren: I think it's 50/50. My parents are both good looking but I definitely try my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I have to work very hard sometimes because I have a sweet tooth and love chocolate! I also believe that you can make yourself look anyway that you chose to look.

CosmicTribune: What sort of workouts do you do to stay in shape?

Lauren: When I'm being "good" and consistent, cardio for 30 min about 5 times a week on an empty stomach in the morning plus mega weight training either after my cardio or later that day. When I'm not being so motivated, I just try to watch my portion sizes and not go to bed on a full stomache. Most often, it's the latter of the two.

CosmicTribune: What new projects do you have underway?

Lauren: I just shot a campaign for Pavvo, a new line of sportswear clothing. It comes out in April '06. I'm also figuring out the next step with WWE. Other projects include modeling for Haterwear clothing, Burger King, Coppertone and Axe.

CosmicTribune: Best thing that's ever happened to you in life?

Lauren: Graduating from college was a milestone achievement but meeting a certain someone has been the best, the most exhilarating.

CosmicTribune: If you could go on a dinner date with anyone in the world, who would it be with?

Lauren: Marilyn Monroe. I want the juicy details. Plus, I think she was a lot smarter than anyone ever gave her credit for.

CosmicTribune: Do you spend much time surfing the internet? Favorite websites?

Lauren: I love being online! I just bought Linksys and took my laptop to Hawaii so I could navigate the islands of Maui and Kona. Google is my favorite web site because I can find out almost anything.

CosmicTribune: Favorite music?

Lauren: Oh, big music fan... ALL music. Loving Kanye West, Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos, all pop, all hip-hop, dance, and mad props to Britney and Christina for good work out sessions!

CosmicTribune: Thong or regular undies?

Lauren: Thong

CosmicTribune: Have a steady boyfriend?

Lauren: Yes

CosmicTribune: Are you a "dirty" girl?

Lauren: Ladies don't disclose such details.

CosmicTribune: Describe yourself in five words?

Lauren: Ambitious, driven, sexy, witty, fun

CosmicTribune: Thank you for the interview Lauren!
