CosmicTribune: Hi Amber! You're originally from Hazleton, Pa right? Any tips for small town girls considering a move to N.Y. ? Amber: I moved to NYC straight after high school. But it wasn't to pursue modeling - I attended the fashion institute of technology studying fashion design. That is when I started getting approached to do modeling. I fell in love with it. It is a big change moving from a small town but I adjusted rather quickly. My advice is to follow your dreams, it's a very competitve market and don't be naive. There are a lot of scam artists in the industry. CosmicTribune: Does N.Y. feel like home now? Amber: Oh yes. But where my family is will always be home, I wish they would move here! CosmicTribune: Modeling accomplishment you are most proud of so far? Amber: Over the past summer I was shooting for a 60's and 70's designer fashion book. It was an amazing shoot because the clothes were vintage and I had great accessories, shoes, purses, but the best thing about it was it's my mom's book. She has written 14 books already and I am so proud to be able to do this for her. She has written about vintage clothes, jewelry, accessories, mens ties etc... |
CosmicTribune: What are you wearing at the moment?
Amber: Jeans and a tank top. Nothin fancy. I'm getting my hair done. CosmicTribune: I've seen pics of you as both a blonde and a brunette Amber: Natural brunette, I just always like 2 change it up. Never was a redhead, that might be next. CosmicTribune: Nooooo !! Amber: I wore a red wig and it looked hot! It's on my website under glamour, vintage. CosmicTribune: Two questions with a 5 in them - describe yourself in 5 words, and tell me where you see yourself in 5 years Amber: Genuine, hardworking, a chameleon, loving, funny. In 5 yrs I hope to be working on more movies, have my own clothing line, as well as other business ventures, have traveled all over the world, live in a beautiful house by the beach as well as my NYC apt! CosmicTribune: Biggest misconception people have about you? Amber: Stuck on myself, conceited etc, just because of what I do. And people think it's easy to meet people becuz guys flock to models but it's actually so hard! Nobody is for real. Especially men in this industry. Ugh. Most of them have girlfriends and think they can get away with having multiple women! |

Amber: No time to surf unfortunately. I get on to do my work and that's it CosmicTribune: Complete the following - "I wish I had" and also "If I could change anything" Amber: I wish I had a big beautiful beach house. If I could change anything.... Hmm I would change the fact that my family doesn't live in NY and I wish they did and that my parents could retire and finally enjoy a vacation!
